The type of personal information we collect

We currently collect and process the following information:

• Your name
• Your contact details including postal address, e-mail address and telephone number
• Your current medical condition including medical scans, reports and other information relating to your condition
• Details of your exposure to asbestos, your occupation, details of any civil claim you may have, details of any benefits you receive, your gender, date of birth and identity number
• Date of death
• Any other personal information you provide to us

How we get your personal information and why we collect it

Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for the following reasons:

• For the purposes of launching a claim for Mesothelioma or other related conditions.

We also receive personal information indirectly, from the following sources in the following scenarios:

• Medical facilities that you have attended for treatment related to your condition
• Other organisations that might assist in providing information related to your claim.

We use the information that you have given us in order to assess the eligibility of a potential claim.
We may share this information with our legal panel in order for them to progress the matter further.
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are:

How we store your personal information

Your information is securely stored United Kingdom.
We keep your personal information and other information related to your claim for a period of three years. We will then dispose this information by secure destruction.

Your data protection rights
